I am a contributing writer on ethical wildlife tourism and animal welfare issues in the travel industry. In the age of social media, direct interactions with wild animals are on the rise, as selfies with elephants, big cats and other animals grow in popularity.
I write to educate the public and the tourism industry on our need to eradicate wildlife exploitation and to adopt more humane practices. My work has been featured on Trip Advisor's Wildlife Tourism Education Portal and, most recently, in industry publications such as The African Development Bank's Africa Tourism Monitor. I have also published work on sustainable tourism strategies for a changing Cuba in the academic journal Managing Global Transitions.
